CDD 7 may hire collection agency to wring unpaid fines out of non-compliant homeowners

The Community Development District 7 Board of Supervisors is looking at the possibility of using a collection agency to wring unpaid fines out of non-compliant homeowners.

In CDD 7, which includes the Villages of Bonita, Duval, Hadley and Hemingway, there is currently about $30,000 in unpaid deed compliance fines. There has been growing resentment in The Villages with regard to non-compliant homeowners who essentially thumb their noses at Community Standards and then ask for forgiveness when the fines pile up.
