A large dust devil was spotted by a SoCal-based paragliding instructor earlier this month.
The instructor was identified by video media outlet Storyful as Jessica Laird, who confirmed to them that she filmed the occurrence in the desert near Perris on Sept. 4.
Laird told Storyful that the “massive” dust devil formed near the paragliders’ grass landing area. She and others had been doing training jumps when they felt the air “being turbulent” upon landing…
