A Des Moines man was arrested Saturday after allegedly trying to elude law enforcement in a motor vehicle and on foot.
J. T. Nickoles Berner, 21, of 809 Grand Ave., Des Moines, was charged with eluding, two counts of interference with official acts and driving while barred.
The incident began about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, when an officer of the Perry Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford F-150, operated by Berner, who allegedly “fled” from the officer “at a high rate of speed,” according to court records…
