A 51-year-old man in Maryland will spend decades behind bars for killing his wife, beating her to death before covering her body with tires in an apparent attempt to conceal his crime.
Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge Christine Celeste ordered Cedric Dion Callaway to serve a sentence of life with all but 40 years suspended for the 2025 slaying of 44-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Bundy, authorities announced. Celeste handed down the sentence after Callaway last month pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder, putting an end to his jury trial after four days of testimony.
