Police ID KC homicide victim found in fenced in, grassy area

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 34-year-old James Heberling.

Just before 8:30p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Truman Road, according to KCPD Officer Jhanelle Cole.

Officers canvassed the area for a victim and located Heberling, unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 1400 block of Askew. He was located in a fenced in grassy area where EMS responded and declared him deceased…
