CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty to hitting and killing a former Queens University runner in January.
Around 5:47 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, officers were called to the 3300 block of The Plaza near East 36th Street for reports of a crash. Officers found 25-year-old Lance Andreas Jesus Sotelo, who was seriously injured after being hit by a car. Sotelo passed away before he could be taken to a hospital.
