CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two immigrants in Charlotte with alleged ties to a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization have been indicted after drug agents seized nearly 60 grams of fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine, according to the Department of Justice.
“We are laser-focused on identifying transnational criminal organizations and their operatives who smuggle deadly drugs into our communities, fueling addiction and violence,” said U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson. “We are going after these organizations at every level to stop their drugs from reaching our streets.”
According to court documents, 36-year-old Martin Eduardo Hernandez Nunez and 38-year-old Juan Carlos Mojarro Sanchez had ties to a Mexico-based criminal organization responsible for distributing large amounts of narcotics in the Charlotte area.
