PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Maryland State Police identified the woman seen in body-camera and dash-camera video released Wednesday following last month’s multi-county chase as 34-year-old Miya Stringfield of Indian Head. The pursuit ended in a crash that killed 33-year-old Alexis Cummings.
The video was released Wednesday by both the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. The attorney general’s office is investigating whether police acted within the confines of the law, which is standard for incidents involving law enforcement.
