Officials in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, are warning the community that there is a ram on the loose, and reminding residents about local regulations on barnyard animals.
The City of Trotwood said Wednesday they are aware of “an at-large ram” that has been spotted around the community in recent days, and they are seeking the public’s help identifying the owner.
Until then, officials are warning residents to exercise caution if they encounter the animal.
“Although the animal may appear calm or non-threatening, rams are powerful livestock animals that can become unpredictable, particularly when frightened, startled, cornered or approached,” officials said. “Our priority is the safety of our residents and community; keeping a safe distance is the best way for residents to protect themselves, children, pets, and the animal.”…
