CHELSEA, MI – A 50-year-old Marshall woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after witnesses reported she struck a parked vehicle and fled the scene Sept. 21.
Chelsea police officers responded to the 1200 block of S. Main Street at 3:06 p.m. after a caller reported witnessing a motorist driving in a hazardous manner. The witness told police they saw the motorist strike a parked vehicle in the 1600 block of S. Main Street before continuing into a parking lot.
Officers located the suspect vehicle parked horizontally in a parking space with the driver still inside. As an officer pulled behind the vehicle, it began moving forward and struck a concrete island before coming to a stop…
