The charges filed against a Marysville man initially accused of raping and murdering his mother have changed again.
Perry County prosecutors originally charged Zachary Conroy with attempted homicide, and later added rape and incest charges. When his mother died in the hospital nine days after the incident, prosecutors upgraded the leading charge to murder.
But now, prosecutors are backing off the sexual abuse charges they initially lodged against Conroy, and have refiled them. Instead of accusing Conroy of rape and incest, he’s now accused of attempted rape and attempted incest…
