International Taco Bell 50K Ultramarathon returns to Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — Of all the marathons you’ve heard about or maybe even participated in, this might be the most unique and demanding on the digestive system — the International Taco Bell 50K Ultramarathon.

Do the Nuggets still have a chance at a championship?

Well, the race is on, and it’s back in Denver on Saturday, as the annual event continues to be a mainstay in early October, coincidentally around International Taco Day — but it will certainly require intense gastric training.

The race, which begins at the Taco Bell at 447 S. Broadway in Denver, starts at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, and again, it requires serious commitment, gastric strength and probably a little bit of craziness to go along with it.

The course is a total of 31 miles and goes in a loop around the Denver area, stopping by 10 Taco Bell locations along the course — and there’s zero tolerance for cutting the course…
