Menominee woman begins 1,700-mile ride across Wisconsin’s state trails

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Menominee woman is on a mission to cycle all of Wisconsin’s state trails.

Sarah Widder started her 1,700-mile route on Thursday, Oct. 1, on the Red Cedar State Trail.

Widder is doing all of this to raise awareness for the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program, which provides support to conservation and recreation efforts in Wisconsin. After operating since 1989, state lawmakers chose not to renew funding for the program in June…
