Deputy hurt at Silverton barbershop fire

SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WXIX) – A Hamilton County deputy sheriff is recovering after suffering a minor injury after stopping at a barbershop fire in Silverton early Monday, authorities say.

The deputy saw heavy flames when he passed by Razor 1 Kutz Barbershop, 7214 Montgomery Rd., around 5 a.m., according to Deer Park/Silverton Fire Chief Dennis Meador II

The deputy stopped to make sure no one was hurt and the building was evacuated. He was not fighting the fire when a window blew out, sending glass into his arm, the fire chief said.
