A recent post on the Shreveport Police Department’s Facebook page is a reminder that kids in Louisiana continue to disappear at an alarming rate.

In their post, SPD is asking for the public to continue to be on the lookout for 13-year-old Julian Amos who has not been seen since September 14, 2026 when he was spotted in the 3300 block of Greenwood Road.
Julian is described as being 5’4″ tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and anyone who might know his current whereabouts is asked to contact SPD immediately.
Though Julian’s disappearance has yet to be listed by missingkids.org, the website shows that so far this year 1,016 children have disappeared in the United States.
Of those 1,016 kids, besides Julian Amos, another eight kids have been reported missing here in Louisiana alone. These are the kids we should all be watching for…
