CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Thieves are accused of targeting a Charlotte radio station for copper wire over the weekend, as experts say rising metal prices are driving an increase in copper thefts.
The break-in happened at Christian radio network’s radio station on North Tryon Street, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. The police report said the thieves cut and stole copper pipes.
