KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man was sentenced to prison in federal court for robbing more than a dozen convenience stores at gunpoint.
Marquise L. North, 32, was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison without parole after pleading guilty in March to 14 counts of Hobbs Act robbery, one count of attempted Hobbs Act robbery, and two counts of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Federal officials say North say between July 26 and September 21 of 2024, North brandished a firearm each time he entered 15 different convenience stores to steal money. Out of those 15 stores, North pointed the firearm at 21 different victims while demanding money…
