ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The downtown Pear Tree Inn near the Dome at America’s Center has been closed since spring, and is currently selling off its inventory.
The 170-room hotel’s contents are being sold in a public liquidation conducted by International Content Liquidations Inc. The sale will continue until the everything is gone. Items for sale include mattresses, furnishings, TVs, artwork and even a 50-year-old chandelier from the hotel lobby.
The liquidation has already attracted visitors interested not only in finding deals but also in seeing the building. About 100 years old and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property sits across the street from America’s Center…
