BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man is facing assault and attempted assault charges after he stabbed an Amherst police officer during an altercation last summer, the Erie County District Attorney’s office said.
Amherst police responded to an address on the 4800 block of North Bailey Avenue just before 5:00 p.m. July 12. Rayquell Grant, 27, climbed out of a rear window holding two large knives, police said.
