SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — An employee at a local market in Imperial Beach was stabbed Saturday night and authorities are searching for two suspects.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call around 8:43 p.m. reporting a stabbing at 13th Street Market, located at 1126 13th Street. The initial report came from another employee at the store.
Investigators say a worker was stabbed during the incident. Officials believe two suspects many have been involved and that the attack could have stemmed from an attempted theft at the market.

As of Sunday morning, the suspects have not been located. Sheriff’s officials said deputies are not actively searching for the individuals at this time but will continue to follow up on leads and review surveillance video from the area.
