BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A long-vacant school building in one Birmingham neighborhood is drawing concern from residents who say the property has become both an eyesore and a potential safety risk.
In the Collegeville community, the former Calloway Elementary School sits on an unmaintained lot, with broken windows and debris visible inside. Neighbors say the building, once a centerpiece of the area, has fallen into neglect.
