La Mesa set to adopt restrictions on e-bikes

LA MESA, Calif. — La Mesa is poised to be the newest city to govern the use of e-bikes.

On April 14, the city council will introduce its proposed pilot program to the public and come one step closer to implementing it into law.

According to a newly released staff report, the city of La Mesa, like all cities in San Diego County and beyond, has seen a dramatic increase in e-bike collisions and calls for service.
