Third person identified in deadly Willamette River crash

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Portland police on Tuesday identified the final victim in a deadly crash in which a car plunged into the Willamette River in downtown Portland earlier this month.

The Multnomah County Medical Examiner said Jakob Esperum, 20, of Beavercreek, died in the April 6 crash. The death toll is now three.

Previously identified victims were Roberto C. Garcia-Chavez, 19, and Trent Badillo, 17, also of Beavercreek. A fourth occupant, a 17-year-old male, survived and was rescued from the river with non-life-threatening injuries…
