2 tornadoes touched down in West Michigan overnight, NWS confirms

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed two tornadoes touched down in West Michigan overnight.

The tornadoes were part of a powerful line of storms that rolled through Tuesday evening. The hours-long storms caused strong winds, heavy rainfall and golf ball-sized hail in a widespread swath of West Michigan.
