Walmart to renovate 5 Charleston area stores in 2026, hopes to upgrade shopping experience

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Walmart plans to renovate five of its stores across the tri-county area this year to further upgrade its in-store and digital shopping experience.

Walmart aims to enhance layouts, technology, and services in 29 stores across the state, with five located in the Charleston area. These changes will make shopping more convenient and delivery faster. The company will also increase its healthy food options and affordable, on-trend items.

Walmart will offer free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, and a store app that helps customers easily navigate through the stores, book services at Walmart’s Auto Care Center, and more…
