RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — All of Virginia is under a drought watch or warning advisory as of Friday morning, according to an update from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
The morning of Friday, April 17, the DEQ, in coordination with the Virginia Drought Monitoring Task Force, issued an expanded drought warning to now include 83 counties and 31 cities, and has established new drought watch advisories in 12 counties and seven cities in Virginia.
