A large structure fire in Lafayette Parish has left two families displaced after flames engulfed a home on Bourque Road near Fieldspan Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 3:30 p.m., and by the time crews arrived, heavy flames had consumed the residence. Multiple fire departments across the parish responded, bringing in tankers and additional manpower to help contain the blaze.
Despite the intensity of the fire, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.
