Driver dies after striking tree in Goose Creek single-vehicle collision

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Law enforcement is investigating a single-vehicle collision that left one person dead Friday evening.

The collision involved a pickup truck in the area of the 500 block of Foster Creek Road in Goose Creek at 7:20 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck, Byron Hugee, 38, of North Charleston, was driving on Foster Creek Road when he struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the collision, according to Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell…
