Santa Monica, CA – The 12th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony brought together an impressive lineup of celebrity couples and solo stars on Saturday to honor groundbreaking achievements in science. The event, held in Santa Monica, celebrated the innovators whose work is shaping the future.

Among the couples gracing the red carpet were Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine with model Behati Prinsloo, singer Christina Aguilera alongside Matthew Rutler, actress Zoe Saldana with Marco Perego, and socialite Paris Hilton accompanied by Carter Reum. Notably, Jean Bennett, Katherine A. High, and Albert Maguire received the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences for their pioneering work on the first FDA-approved gene replacement therapy. In the field of mathematics, Frank Merle was honored for his significant research on nonlinear evolution equations.
