ABQ City Councilor aims to bolster protections for renters amid unseasonable warmth

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – With unseasonably warm weather this year many residents are needing to cool off earlier than normal. And now, one Albuquerque city councilor is looking to make sure city landlords are not only providing cooling systems, but also ensuring they actually work when they’re needed.

Never before has Albuquerque recorded having 90 degree weather as early as March, until this year. Meaning, cooling units are turning on earlier than normal.
