Man charged after police say he assaulted his girlfriend, threatened neighbor with gun

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Charleston man was arrested Saturday morning after police said he assaulted his girlfriend and threatened another person with a handgun during a domestic disturbance.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded just before 7:30 a.m. to the 3800 block of Rhett Park Drive, according to an incident report.

During their investigation, officers determined that 40-year-old Roddrick Mark Carter allegedly struck his girlfriend twice in the face with a closed fist before pulling a handgun from his waistband and pointing it at her head…
