ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A 16-year-old girl has been certified as an adult in a deadly stabbing that occurred in August 2025.
Dakota Merit, 16, is being charged with one count of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. She was initially apprehended on Aug. 17, 2025, in connection with the deadly stabbing of Derrick Merit,39, at the 200 block of Carrington Lane.
