TOLEDO, Ohio — Daniel Fox said the teachers at Navarre Elementary helped him discover a passion for environmental science, a path that eventually led him to major in the subject in college. Now, years after attending the school in 2008, he joined dozens of students, parents and teachers who gathered Wednesday to speak out against the school’s possible closure.
“Thanks to teachers here, I was able to figure out my interest in environmental science, which I eventually majored in in college,” said Fox. “I wouldn’t have had that without the support of the people at Navarre.”
