AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Whataburger announced it will celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8, by offering teachers free breakfast and a chance to win $1,000.
Officials said from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, teachers and staff with proof of ID can enjoy the following breakfast options for free: Breakfast on a Bun, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, or Breakfast Taquito.
According to the Whataburger press release, 60 teachers will be awarded $1,000 classroom grants to support supplies, creative ideas, and learning opportunities. The grants are from Whataburger’s Feeding Student Success initiative, which aims to celebrate teachers, support students, and invest in the communities they serve.
Whataburger also offers students a chance to show their appreciation by giving their teachers a Whatateacher bundle. The bundle features any 40oz Whataburger tumbler of your choice, a WhataTeacher Tee in black, a notebook, a wristlet and a bag.
