Predawn Hunts Point Stickup: Knife Thug Strips Bronx Teen Of Phone, Kicks And Cash

A 16-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint near Bruckner Boulevard and Hunts Point Avenue in the Bronx in the pre-dawn hours of March 22, and police are now asking for the public’s help to track down the suspect.

According to NYPD Crime Stoppers, the teen was held up at about 4:00 a.m. when a person pulled a knife and stole his phone, sneakers, a silver chain, a shirt and roughly $40 in cash.

Police Put Out Call For Help, Dangle Cash Reward

Investigators say two other people were seen nearby around the time of the robbery, and detectives are working to identify everyone involved. The Crime Stoppers bulletin lists the stolen items and notes that a reward of up to $3,500 is on the table for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment.
