Five admit to $2.2M St. Louis-area mail theft scheme

ST. LOUIS – Five people have now admitted to stealing mail from St. Louis-area collection boxes three years ago through an elaborate $2.2 million scheme.

Roderick Orlandez Walker, 26, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of conspiracy, two counts of mail theft and one count of possession of stolen mail.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the following individuals connected to the scheme have previously pleaded guilty and been sentenced:

  • Marissa Diane Worthen, 38, of Atlanta
  • Yahtis Niquae Bailey, 26, of Atlanta suburbs
  • Roderick Henry Gaines, Jr., 24, of Atlanta suburbs
  • Tommy Earl Kilbert, 27, of St. Louis
