NOPD names suspects in two recent Wheel of Justice reports

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has named suspects in two cases that were recently featured on WGNO’s Wheel of Justice report.

The most recent case happened around 6:30 in the evening on April 12 at the intersection of North Claiborne and Esplanade avenues. Police said the driver of a convertible Chevy Camaro operated the car in a reckless manner when he performed “donuts” in the intersection.

The NOPD identified a suspect in the reckless driving investigation as 21-year-old Jahron Hampton. Orleans Parish court records showed Hampton has prior arrests dating back to 2023 that include theft, assault, and even an illegal machine gun charge.

We reported the other case last month. On March 5, the NOPD said someone burglarized a business on French Market Place and stole a blue handcart. Now, police have identified a suspect in the case as 59-year-old Bryan Giroir. According to Orleans Parish court records, Giroir has an arrest record that goes back to 2005 and includes multiple burglary and theft charges.
