WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita’s Second Light shelter is entering a new phase in its effort to reduce homelessness.
Portions of the former Park Elementary School have been converted into office space, a community room and a consultation room, allowing clients to have private conversations with Second Light staff.
Over the past four months, Second Light said it provided shelter for 1,100 guests through its emergency winter shelter and has helped more than 70 people secure permanent housing.
