South Valley Pride on full display at community event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Community members gathered to show off their love for their home at the South Valley Pride Day on Sunday.

Nizhoni Days Powwow celebrates 67 years at UNM

The 33rd annual festival was held at the Westside Community Center and featured a parade, dance performances, live music, food, a car show, and more.

“Once you live here, you really appreciate the sence of community we have,” said Bernalillo County Commissioner (District 2) Frank Baca. “The South Valley has its own unique characteristic. A big part of it is the fact that so many people have lived here for many years, their parents have lived here, they grew up, and their grandparents have lived here.”…
