Westwego man accused of killing, burying man

WESTWEGO, La. (WGNO) — A Westwego man was arrested Friday, April 24 and accused of killing and burying a man.

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Dustin Billot has been charged with second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and unlawful disposal of human remains.

On Aug. 16, 2023, Eddie Tillman was reported missing. In late 2025, the JPSO received a tip regarding his disappearance. During the follow-up on the tip, 1221 Gaudet Dr. in Marrero was developed as a location where Tillman was possibly buried. Billot was also developed as a suspect.

A cadaver canine was positively alerted to the presence of human remains in the backyard of the residence. The backyard was excavated and human skeletal remains were found, believed to be Tillman. Further forensic analysis is being conducted to identify the remains…
