Trial to begin in the Halloween killing of 13-year-old Kan. boy

SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas man accused in connection with a shooting on Halloween that left a 13-year-old boy dead is due back in court on Monday,

Jermal Campbell, 19, is scheduled to face a trial in Jeffrey Goering’s courtroom, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.

He is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of criminal discharge of firearm, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery.
