PINOPOLIS, S.C. —The City of North Myrtle Beach has drawn up a fiscal year 2027 budget that if enacted, would include tax and fee increases.
City Council was briefed by staff on the proposal during its annual budget retreat on Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28 at the Wampee Conference Center in Pinopolis.
The proposal would increase the millage for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to 50 mils, up from this year’s 45 mils. The increase would raise taxes by $8.33 a month for the owner of a $500,000 house. Utility billing would also go up by $10.42 per month for the same typical homeowner for a total of $18.75 per month, or a combined total of $225 a year…
