Mid-South mayor shares colon cancer diagnosis, urges others to get screened

LAKELAND, Tenn. – A Mid-South mayor is sharing a message that could save lives after a diagnosis he said he never saw coming.

Lakeland Mayor Josh Roman said he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at 49 despite having no major warning signs.

“You start googling, and by the end of the night, you’ve pretty much given yourself three to five years to live,” Roman said…
