ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –Albuquerque city officials say asbestos was found inside Lindy’s Diner after the north-east wall, along Fifth Street and Central collapsed Monday.
Concerns over fatal rose disease halted some sales over the weekend
The City of Albuquerque Code Enforcement team conducted an evaluation of the diner after its wall collapsed. An assessment by city officials found that asbestos was not found in the debris pile from the wall, but instead found in the piping and flooring adhesive. The city said appropriate safety measures are being taken to manage the hazardous materials.
