AVON, Ind. — A large house fire is being investigated by the Avon Fire Department Wednesday evening.
Over 140 firefighters battle large brush fire in Madison Co.
According to the AFD, crews were dispatched around 8:30 p.m., regarding a large house fire. Firefighters responded to the 1600 block of Cedar Mill Dr., a neighborhood right off of South Avon Avenue, to find a heavy active fire.
The fire department was able to successfully extinguish the fire despite the strong winds. All residents reportedly made it out safely and the cause is currently under investigation.
