Immokalee High School student faces charges for social media threat

IMMOKALEE, Fla. — A 17-year-old Immokalee High School student is facing charges Friday after Collier County detectives investigated a social media threat made to the school.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the teen is facing a charge of writing a threat to kill or do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism. This is a second-degree felony.
