Houston will have a new two-story home for one of the largest collections of rare coins, estate jewelry and luxury watches when U.S. Coins and Jewelry opens its new location to the public Saturday.
The coin and collectible emporium has moved its massive inventory of collectibles to an 8,000-square-foot space, expanding and building on a 40-year family tradition “as a destination for collectors from across the region, something Houston can be proud of,” said Nick Scurfield, media spokesperson for the business.
Just a few steps away from its previous headquarters, the new venue, at 8501 Katy Freeway is a bigger showroom for collectors of coins, metals and jewelry, sports and pop culture memorabilia and rare historical artifacts, from handwritten letters by Thomas Edison and abolitionist Frederick Douglass to a baseball signed by Babe Ruth or a drawing by Picasso.
