Afternoon sunshine returns for final weekend of Jazz Fest

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The morning clouds are on their way out, and sunshine is pushing back in across southeast Louisiana for Saturday afternoon.

A trough swept through the region overnight, dragging a cold front offshore and dropping temperatures into the 50s. Rain wrapped up around sunrise, but expect clouds to linger through most of the morning before skies open up and temperatures climb back into the 70s.

It is a welcome turnaround after a rough stretch, and this afternoon is going to feel like a reward…
