‘See something, say something:’ Neighbor’s 3 a.m. call leads Greensboro police to body, quick arrest in murder investigation

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A neighbor’s early-morning decision to call 911 after spotting unusual activity across the street led police to a suspect and the discovery of a woman’s body at a home in Greensboro.

Martinez Hagans said he was awake around 3 a.m. Sunday when he glanced out his window and noticed a man repeatedly moving between the house across the street and a parked car on Glencraig Avenue.

“He kept going around the house, in the house, outside, and it just looked so strange at 3 o’clock in the morning when there’s no lights on,” Hagans said. “You see something, say something.”…
