UPDATE: A spokesperson for ProMedica said authorities received a call about a bomb threat and the hospital was placed on lockdown amid a search. Investigators did not find anything suspicious and deemed the threat non-credible.
OREGON, Ohio (WTVG) – Additional security measures are being taken at Bay Park Hospital after a “security report” Tuesday afternoon.
“Oregon Police and the City of Oregon Fire Department are currently at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital, working in collaboration with ProMedica security to investigate a security report,” a ProMedica spokesperson said. “As a precaution, we have placed the hospital on lockdown, which means that patients are still being treated, but extra security measures are in place for those entering the facility.
